NEW ITALY

THURSDAY 14.7.11: Pulled in at our first freedom camp. Felt as though we had parked on the island between the North and South bound lanes of the Pacific Highway - just a tad noisy! Visited the New Italy Museum - early settlers of New Italy arrived in 1882. Only 217 of the more than 300 hopeful emigrants who left Barcelona arrived in Sydney on the James Paterson. The new settlers soon became experts in timber handling.
EVOLUTION!
Finished with a trip to the toilet and whilst most would leave a gold coin donation, we decided to leave the entire wallet - we thought! One did what one does - tore the motorhome apart and with no success, cancelled all the plastic!
