FRIDAY
7.2.2014: When
travelling the Nullarbor we had been advised that the Eucla Motor Hotel/Caravan
Park was the preferred stay. Carole rang the Eucla and WA/SA Border
Village – both were $25.00, but the second stay advised that they had a dump
point, winner!
Episode
2 – The Border Saga:
Having realised that we had overstocked on food we had fast tracked our eating
in order to minimise waste – salads, salads, salads! When speaking to the WA/SA
Border Village about accommodation Carole also enquired about quarantine
restrictions. “Which way are you travelling?” “East.” “Oh, no problem, you
don’t pass through quarantine till you reach Ceduna, only those heading west
have their checks done here.” Great, Ceduna in our estimation is another 3 days
away which in practical terms equates to us having consumed too many rations –
eating out tonight!
GOLF REPORT: DAY 3 - Madura – Brumby’s Run Par 3 125m: (Carole 3 – Sybil
1).
Today
was the day that our six month old computer turned itself off and has not
surfaced since – so many options for repair on the Nullarbor! Spent the evening
at Jilah Rockhole 10km west of Mundrabilla.
