NUNDLE

TUESDAY 26.01.2016 - AUSTRALIA DAY: Could not think of a better place to be than at Nundle on Australia Day. Made our  way up to the local school, put our seats in place and headed for the barbecue breakfast. This year the Australia Day Ambassador for Nundle was Catriona Rowntree - well known for Getaway, but since marrying a farmer has been advocating for those on the land. Catriona was excellent, she gave one of the most entertaining and motivational speeches that we have heard - very humorous.
The entire family attended and apparently it was at Catriona's request that she visit Nundle. It did not matter what was asked of her or her family, they all took part in the day - children included. The local awards were presented and the sheep was shorn with the hand propelled shears, plus the trivia  and best dressed for Australia Day competition was held - we did not win either!

YOU ARE OUT & ABOUT!

As usual we had a lovely time listening to the local achievements and were delighted when Heath Atkinson (Fossickers Tourist Park Manager), received a Community Achievement Award. Had another relaxing day, then enjoyed a great evening celebrating with Kim, Heath and Ebony.
