TUES 30 - WED 31.07.2013: S-q-u-e-e-z-e-d into the Warloch Rest Area, then drove into Mataranka. Mataranka is the traditional country of the Mangarayi and Yangman Aboriginal people and is best known for its thermal springs. It was home to Jeanie Gunn who wrote the famous "We of the Never Never".
When driving the Stuart Highway we have noticed the ingenious travellers that have stopped to "dress" the termite hills. Shrek, dinosaurs and hills with hats, bras or underpants. Does keep you entertained whilst driving.
Finished the day at the King River Rest Area.
