SUN 22 – MON
23.09.2013: Cleaverville
Camp area officially closes for the season on October 1st so Deb
(the caretaker), kindly cooked a roast dinner for the remaining campers. It was
an enjoyable night and an opportunity to meet the others. As you would now
expect, there was one couple that owned a holiday home in Corlette and another
that had lived at Bolwarra and ran a business at Maitland for 9 years. The irony of the evening - having stayed the previous night at the caravan park so that we could view the 'Staircase to the Moon', we return to Cleaverville and were able to capture a better photo!
Due to an unseasonal wet few days earlier this year we have been able to view a number of native flowers both at the camp site and along the highway.
We have
had such a relaxing time here and would happily stay on BUT.......! We would like to have seen Karijini National Park as the reviews had all been positive. This was a must do and yes Tom Price had a caravan park that would take dogs, but not through the school
holidays and it was first in for accommodation, no bookings could be made. It
was a 300 km drive out to Tom Price so we figured that if you cannot be assured
of accommodation and as school holidays had just begun it was not worth the
risk.
Due to an unseasonal wet few days earlier this year we have been able to view a number of native flowers both at the camp site and along the highway.
