FRIDAY 17.4.2015: Carole rang ahead to enquire about Bendigo Showground and was advised that it was no longer available to campers. It appears that the length of stay and amenities have been abused by some campers and as such, had led to the closure of many of the showground options. It is amazing how the actions of a few can impact on so many. Having visited Bendigo Pottery on our last travels we knew it just had to be on the "to do" list for this trip. Such beautiful pottery, so little money - had a great time! There are many other specialty shops to visit - exotic teas, in-house sculptor, antiques and collectibles, plus wine tasting and olives just to name a few.
Decided to spend the evening at Happy Jack's Recreation Reserve (one can only assume that Jack was happy), Lockwood South. The winter weather has set in with rain and overcast days.
