URALLA - POPULATION: 2,267

THUNDERBOLT'S RESTING PLACE
AT WALCHA
FRIDAY 26 - MONDAY 29.9.2014: We are driving on Thunderbolts Way headed for Uralla - a road which at times has not really improved since Thunderbolt (an Australian Bushranger), used it! The name "Uralla" was taken by European settlers from the dialect of the local Anaiwan people, and means "meeting place". Onward to Wooldridge Recreation & Fossicking Reserve 6km W of Uralla and the making of our fortune!

Beautiful outlook, toilets, bins and the clincher - free of charge! Fossicker Peel pulled a back to backer over two days. Day 1 was shorter, with a far more productive output, Day 2 somewhat longer, but the intensity had dramatically diminished!

Sybil as per usual, provided moral support from the comfort of her chair and entertained herself with the wildlife!
