WHIPORIE - POPULATION: NO REGISTERED NUMBER

SAT 25.06.2016: Whiporie is a locality between the towns of Casino and Grafton on the Summerland Way in northern New South Wales. The North Coast railway passes nearby, and a railway station was provided between 1906 and 1974. Whiporie Store & Bottle Shop is all encompassing - all you ever wanted, plus free camping! Having driven such a distance from LTP to Coffs Harbour, the stoic travellers needed a break! Two days of absolute relaxation - excellent! Minor hiccup - sitting outside enjoying the sun and Sybil stands up and takes one step, turns her ankle on the dog leads and ends up face down in the field (no, had not even had a drink). Checked for broken bones and then in the usual stoic manner hobbled past the two bikies chatting over their coffee, said hello, entered the motorhome and collapsed in a screaming heap! Day 1 - ankle very, very sore, Day 2 - the body felt as though it had been 10 rounds in the ring! For some reason one does not bounce back like one used to!
