TENNANT CREEK

FRIDAY 26.07.2013: Pulled into "The Pebbles" which is also known as Kunjarra, a sacred site to the local Warumungu women. This granite outcrop resembles a smaller version of Karlu Karlu/Devils Marbles, and shares similar song lines and spiritual Dreaming Stories. We are viewing today as a rest day - our friend Judy Reedy has queried our need for a rest day considering we are on a permanent holiday. Come on, we have driven 17kms from Tennant Creek to reach this destination! We have now met fellow travellers that cover 500, 600 and the winner, 1,000 kms in a day. One can understand why we do not share our travel achievements - yet to break the 200kms in a day!
